The Hurstbourne Supermen are a fellowship and service oriented group. They meet the 1st Saturday of each month for a light breakfast then go out to help with service projects in the homes of our members. The Supermen have fun while helping members of our congregation. Healing Blanket Ministry– Our sewing group meets from 10:00am-2:00pm on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. The sewing group makes blankets to be given to offer comfort to those experiencing grief, loss, divorce, illness, loneliness, etc. Anyone who requests a blanket receives one, whether you are a member of Hurstbourne or not. You do not have to be a seamstress to join this group; there are jobs for sewers and non-sewers. Join us in this rewarding ministry.
Pillows for Veterans- Our sewing group also provides small pillows for heart patients at the Robley Rex Veterans Hospital. This important ministry serves our local Veterans during their time of illness.
Bereavement Committee- Our bereavement committee provides meals to our church families following a funeral service. We ask for volunteers to prepare dishes, set up the Fellowship Hall, and clean-up.
Weekly Prayer Group- Our prayer group meets every Tuesday at 10:30am for 30 minutes for a short scripture or devotional. We then spend time together in prayer for those on our prayer list.
Work Days-Volunteers are invited to work on various projects to maintain our interior and exterior spaces. Work days are scheduled periodically by the property committee.
